Well I finally agree with MD on something. This is a business and he needs to remember which side of the table he sits on. We, as pilots, do not make marketing or fleet plans. If the airplane works for Delta they will buy the airplane. End of story.

Management and ALPA like to say that we will be out of line with our peers if we got too great of a pay raise. I contend that we do not have a peer in the industry right now. Because of the way we merged we are a few years ahead of our competitors (AA and UAL).

Additionally it doesn't seem to bother management that they make an good deal more than the management of our competitors. Every other employee group at Delta is back above their pre give back wages. The FA group is approx 6% above and I would bet that is about the amount the other groups are also. It seems punitive to me that the group that has given the most to the recovery effort is somehow left behind. Last I checked we still lag our 2004 payrates by 18%
