Yes, not to be used on the Flight Deck...ie...don't have the mount out and have the efb sitting in it. I'd love to see the look on someone's face when the FAA sees them with the efb out and sitting in its mount and asks...."where's your letter of authorization?"

On or after Oct 10 or whatever date they say, you may use them on the flight deck. I think you need to carry your charts for 10 to 12 flight segments after that date. When you've finished that, then you will not need to carry your charts anymore.
