The Guppy guys log about 500 hours a year, so you are looking at a two year upgrade to get back to what you are making now. Top out would be about $150k after 12 years. No retirement. No 401k match. Medical insurance is very expensive. And the schedules never get any better. Always 20 days on duty. Always overnight freight. And the constant threat that DHL will pull the rug out from under us and take their airplanes(all 'our' aircraft are owned by DHL) and give them to someone else to fly.

Southern is not the place most guys want to be. It works for some people. But that is the exception, not the rule.

Good luck!
Thanks for that! Will give this some consideration.
