So along with those being Spirits fault so is the EFB thing. There are several ways to get them certified. Some airlines allow you to have them above 10,000 feet or as a reference as long as you have the paper out. Spirit applied for class B I believe. Which is where a test group gets them.

Oh, and I've had our FAA inflight inspector on several of my flights. She's a sweetheart too. She is working on getting the fuel thing fixed but as she put it spirit has no procedure for the FAs to self evacuate. It's apparently number 101 of 100 other things on managements list.
