Exactly right FB. As long as you're not bumping a pilot out of the JS, I'll take it on a case by case basis. For instance, my wife was stuck in Ohare and getting bumped from every flight (over booked United). She was to the point of tears, and I felt helpless; although, i fully realize the nature of standby. Thank goodness another pilot had sympathy and took the Jumpseat, so my wife could get the last seat in the back. For that reason, I'll always try and pay it forward.
