I totally agree with you, and I think people new to the industry are seeing that there are a lot of other options out there for FOs. Without a fast upgrade there are half dozen better places for FOs to be. I really think the supply demand market for pilots is going to correct the problem. Remember most of the new people on property won't even get to vote on this. The vote really falls into the hands of those who have been here for some time. If they vote in a sub par contract not competitive with the industry, FOs will leave. If it gets voted down and the growth has stopped, FOs will leave. Bottom line is Mesa is going to have to be competitive with the rest of the regionals to maintain reliability. Unless there is a steady flow of new planes that is the only way to staff for the next 10 years barring a drastic change in the industry.
