Quote: The Nancy Clan – They campaigned vigorously selling the no vote.

“Just say no” and the company will be back at the table to add more money to get a deal, they claimed.

But didn’t the Nancies try that before the deal was struck? Wasn’t the company response to their “mo’ money” demand rejected? Twice?

So they hid behind the political cover of “we don’t think this should even go the pilots for MEMRAT” and then they wrote:

“Should you reject this TA, we would propose to reengage with Mr. Anderson at the earliest opportunity as truly equal partners in search of more suitable ways and means by which to strengthen the company’s business model and our role within that model. Our mutual goal should be to further enhance the standing that Delta Air Lines enjoys atop the airline, indeed within the overall transport, industry.

In closing, we would like to thank everyone involved in the effort put forth thus far in crafting this TA. All of those involved have worked very hard in getting us to this point. We look forward to reconvening with our colleagues on the MEC to discuss our next steps, however you decide.”

But, again, the Nancies lied. Like they did in their pro/con papers. Like they did in the lounges. Like they will this week in their next round of council updates. Beavis and Butthead will lead off, as usual.

They immediately put all of the members on the other side of this argument up for recall. Instead of “engaging with Mr. Anderson at the earliest opportunity,” they have orchestrated and scheduled recall meetings and asked for resignations for those with a different position. Because that is how you “thank everyone involved in the effort put forth thus far in crafting this TA. All of those involved have worked very hard in getting us to this point.”

So, after meeting the direction that the MEC provided . . . after reaching a TA that was concluded following rejected attempts to add more pay (at the MEC’s direction). . . the Nancies sat in Reston, VA for two days and did nothing.

They failed to provide an alternative negotiating strategy. They don’t have one.

They climbed over one another to get in line to kiss Donatelli’s ass when he surprised them with his resignation to thank him for his years of service leadership to this pilot group. They are conflicted.

They didn’t have the guts to ever ask the Negotiating Committee for a resignation . . . not a single one of them! They are weak.

They failed to come forward with a replacement to run for Chairman of the MEC. They are clueless.

They argued for nearly an hour on a unity theme . . . and came up empty. They are rudderless

Not one of them has an ounce of leadership to step forward in the chaos that they created with their “just say no” plan of governance. Just blame somebody else. Spineless.

Weak . . . spineless . . . rudderless . . . and costing 13,000 pilots and their families money . . . clueless . . . Tick tock.

If you are recalling reps in your council and not recalling the Nancies . . . shame on you . . . shame.

Put down the glue and back away slowly.

P. S. Is ripping off someone's screen name a TOS violation?
