Each flight has an average perhaps of 150 passengers (?), 7 flights scrubbed, so over 1,000 passengers had a bad day, more or less. Plus I'm thinking that if the plane doesn't make it off the ground the aircrew doesn't get paid much??
I don't know about the flight attendants, but if the pairing is on your schedule when it is cancelled then you get pay protection for the trip and sit a TOA (Time of Availability). Time of Availability is sitting reserve for the original time of the pairing. I have had this happen in three different bases, two big bases and one small one. I have never been used during the time of availability. I have never had to pay claim it either, believe it or not.
