It's safe to say all of these pilots and other airline employees would like to get similar jobs to what they had at RAH. For pilots, if there are that many open seats amongst the majors and LCC's today and within the next couple of months, then this could work.
It doesn't happen overnight. Some guys are out of work for months, if not longer.
Unless there is a dramatic reduction in required lift, the flying that Republic is doing will go elsewhere. It does not necessarily mean more jobs for pilots, however.
It could be something like an Airbus covering the flights between two cities instead of 3 RJ's. In this case, there are less jobs at the regionals. Or, a 75 seat jet going twice a day instead of a 50 seat RJ going 3 times a day. Same lift, less pilot jobs.
