I thought Great Lakes was operating 9-seat 1900Ds so they could operate them under charter rules because they were bleeding pilots and couldn't find/hire pilots with at least 1500 hours willing to fly for them. Regardless, 9 seats in a 1900D will provide pretty good space for the members - it's a pretty short hop from HPN to BOS. There are plenty of used 1900Ds on the market that can probably be leased at relatively low rates.
