Do you all have an ASAP program? Wonder if the crew gets a pass vis-à-vis. Not hoping they get a pass mind you, if these guys are not good guys, but if it was a regular crew and they stayed honest, I would certainly hope they could come out unscathed.
A lot depends on their honest intentions wrt to declaring the emergency and landing in FAR anyway. If there truly was an opportunity to divert and they willfully chose to bypass that opportunity to complete the illegal flight, they are probably in big trouble. Of course we'll now get to see if management will circle the wagons, or sell their own manager pilots down the river. They are still pilots after all - doesn't bode well.
As far as the company goes, this constitutes a 'loss of operational control' of their passenger carrying 121 airline, and I would hope they are made to answer in some meaningful way.
