Senator Reid has never been a favorite of Mr. Gallagher. He has never donated large sums to Senator Reid. He typically makes a small $2500 donation to him and much larger donations to his Republican counterpart.

He even donated to Republican Senator John Ensign about 6 years ago and then hired the man whose wife Senator Ensign had an affair with as a favor to him. It was a big scandal, Senator Ensign ended up resigning from office.
