Although, I would not say doing this gets you noticed better than being a recruiter. Several of our FO recruiters have been hired at a majors while captains with turbine pic have not. Being a recruiter will allow you to be at all the locations the majors are at and put a face to a name for you - and you are getting paid to do it not paying out of your own pocket.

Mr. Bill Kenedy (manager of pilot hiring) said it best "we know you can fly the airplane if you have no training issues and quite a bit of time at you company. What we can't tell on paper is if you are a good fit with our values, culture, and work well with our people."
Isn't that what an interview traditionally does? Why the need to go to a job fair "pre-interview".
