Two months later he got the call and was subsequently hired. He had no fix it emails, no strong recs, nada...without a doubt it was OBAP.
And yet how many pilots who have been to OBAP/WAI, or whatever event that are same/similar experienced hear NOTHING? Not even a "fix it" email because the attendance got their app "scored" by human eyes?
I think the only one as of late that had a "high success" rate for ratio of attendees to interview to hires was the Alaska ALPA event recently.
I've known more than one guy that didn't attend a single job fair, got called/hired. One had ZERO TPIC.
It's great it worked out for your ONE SPECIFIC friend, but you can't draw conclusive evidence that it's THE NORM.
