I'm kind of the opposite. I spent the last 10 years as a firefighter/paramedic. It was a great gig that I fell into. But it was not my passion. I suffered an injury during the training academy for a new fire department and was dismissed from the academy. Now here I am 32 years old with an opportunity to achieve my goal of becoming a professional pilot. I have 14 hours logged from 10 years ago. Do I have a long, hard road ahead of me, yes. Does that deter me, no, because I am realizing my dream and living my passion now
