Its a function of superficial liability more than anything. If they give you something new there's a possibility it might not work out. Therefore its better to do nothing and rely on the same out dated "technology" like long lines of code with no vowels and asinine TP's that cover most of the country most of the time and are borderline meaningless. That way if something happens they can say "oh well you know you should have avoided that general area because it was possible".
