SKW is firm on
all of these times, including the 100 instrument. At least 80 of which must be in an airplane (hood is OK, they don't require actual IMC). Here's how I know.
I went to the meet and greet in PHX in March, they looked over my resume, talked with me briefly, and invited me to an interview in SLC, so I thought I was golden....
This is no joke; as I was strapping in to the Frasca to do the sim ride, the Capt. I was working with was looking over my resume, and asked "how much of your 100 hrs of instrument time in a simulator?" I said, "about 40". He said, "Are you sure?" I said, "yes". (mind you they were in the process of reviewing my log books, so I'm certainly not going to lie to them - I wouldn't, anyway) We double checked my logbooks together, then; they, very politely, sent me packing.
They were extremely appologetic, but said that they couldn't finish the interview. I was given the HR Directors' card, and told to call them as soon as I got 12 more hours of hood or atual,
in an airplane, and they would continue the interview. My total times were, 2200/105, and 110 instrument. Of that instrument, a little over 40 was in simulators. That being said, I'm an old school, FBO type, CFI. I did not go to ATP, Riddle or any place like that (maybe they have negotiated concessions).
I have nothing bad to say about SKW, they were great; but it's true, they won't budge on the posted mins. This was in April.
I hope this helps.
p.s. I was pretty bummed about SKW, at the time, but I just got hired by Express Jet, yesterday, and the LAX and ONT bases I want, are going junior. So, I guess things happen for a reason.
