Are you saying you would re-vote in our current contract? That's all crossing out 3-4 paragraphs would effectively do. FO pay is less than a dollar raise. $0.29 raise for 2nd year FOs and I think $0.20 for 3rd year FOs. Captain pay isn't really increased either. Our basis for negotiation should be 700 pay at 700 rates and 175/900 pay at 79 seat pay effective now and increasing a decent amount for the next 5 years. Don't spend all that extra money in one place!

The only appreciable increase in pay comes from elimination of 50 seat base pay, which JO should be embarrassed about anyway for his redefining of the word stingy. Same with KCM. Those shouldn't even be points of negotiation or considered wins for the negotiating committee. Those are bare bones standard rewrites of definitions and closing of loopholes management has boned us with, not an increase in anything.

So where are we at? No realized gains (even some losses) in the reserve language, a lot of vagueness that the company will exploit, and no real pay raises.

Why am I going to vote this in again? How much more money will be in my pocket each year if we vote it in vs not? I'll tell you what, my principles and standing for who we are and what we are worth as professional aviators are worth far more than what that (small) number would be.
