Sadly mainline will maintain the status quo on scope and hope the shortage does their work for them. I don't blame current mainline guys, but I do blame the ones who voted for scope erosion in the 80's and 90's. Once that Pandora's box opened, it's nearly impossible to go back. We can blame a lack of unity among pilots now, ALPA, or management, but it would've been nice if future pilots were never sold out to begin with.
Or maybe we could blame American for the first B-scale. Or maybe even the proponents of Deregulation. In any event, cat's out if the bag now, and it's hard to hold the line if there's a single weak link among the pilots. I guess what I'm saying is I'm in favor of union thugs.
