I hadn't heard that about Falcon Air. I found a news announcement saying they had turned in their certificate to operate on June 5, 2015 to the FAA and ceased operations. The announcement blamed the loss of a government contract with the Dept of Justice for throwing Falcon Air into financial difficulties, along with a troublesome divorce of the owner. I seem to remember another news article saying Falcon Air was not safe to fly and did not meet the gov't requirements for maintenance or something. Reminds me of that "Con Air" movie. I think Falcon had 7 MD-83 aircraft. Maybe AAY can lease them to get thru the "hot summer months" that are disrupting their flight schedule. Plus those planes already have a cage for holding unruly passengers.
