You're right and I think what Parker is banking on is getting pilots from other contract carriers to leave and come to one of the WO'ed. PDT is beefing up to eventually take over AWAC flying. We've had some AWAC pilots interview lately along with Republic pilots. Damn nice carrots of a less then 18 month upgrade and a Job at American. But then again once that pool is dry you might see some kind of an arrangement. It could be Pilots at the WO'ed are locked in but given a seniority number thus allowing street pilots to be hired but not allowing them to be senior then the WO'ed pilots in the pool. So basically if your flow number came up and they said we need to hold you for 4 months then your seniority number would be based on when you were suppose to go to class. At that point you'd be a Captain and would be fine with that as long as you had started making seniority at American. I think Compass/Delta had that arrangement during there flow.
Right now it's working and the main thing Parker wanted was shaving the top off of the WO'ed Pilots. If he's going to pay those pilots a fair amount of money he wants them at American not at any of his Eagle Airlines. He actually stated he doesn't want anyone at Eagle more then 6 years.

For now it's playing out well for PDT but there will be for sure some changes as the pilot pool keeps drying up.
