Newly upgraded CA's will never hold a line with the shrinkage and lifers. So that makes the math pretty easy. I have been a CA for 2 years and am bottom RSV still. Can't hold anything I choose, can't get anything I proffer for, or get any days off I want. Progress forward is ZERO as more people are on RSV above me each month, not less.
So you can stay a senior FO and have a life amd be broke, or upgrade and have 7 days off a month, never see a weekend off again, get a trickle of PIC time and make more money. Both choices pretty much suck.
But with your seniority, one of your reps insists you'll be at AA very soon. If it is supposed to take 6 years for today's Envoy new-hire, you should be sitting pretty at AA in 2 years or so.
According to this source, considering AA retirements, nothing can go wrong and your future is assured.
