My job is to get people/animals/cargo safely from point A to point B in a timely manner. While I'm not going to do anything that would negatively impact said people/animals/cargo I'm certainly not going to go the extra mile given the low ball offer from management (facilitated by DALPA), regardless of whether it was early or not. I believe the pilots of Delta Air Lines are worth more. I believe Delta Air Lines can afford to restore their pilots in pay and work rules while still "making it rain" on themselves and shareholders.
I believe there are a number of us who for years HAVE gone above and beyond, who feel less inclined to do so watching management enrich themselves while attempting to gut the work rules further after taking so much during bankruptcy. It's ridiculous. I will start caring about JD Power and Associates when management recognizes my contribution in the form of a fair contract. Backpack stories and "attaboys" aint cutting it anymore. #ActionsSpeakLouderThanWords
