I did a flaps 25 vs. 30 landing the other day. If the Captain had requested 30, I would have done that. Dave's explanation is good enough for me since he is doing what he feels is the safest thing to do. There is no argument to the contrary that what he is doing is less safe. He is the Captain. Not you.

You are picking a battle when there shouldn't be one.
I wouldn't do anything above. Relax. I would simply say you got the legs, I've got the radios. I'm happy to help with whatever else you need. Simple as that.

I've never avoided a capt, never gone to the CPO about anyone, and never have gone to pro stans. The FM states flaps 25 is now the norm (looked it up this morning actually), and a flaps 25 is perfectly safe.

If you want to dictate how I fly the jet because it is something unsafe or against SOP I'll gladly change. To dictate how I fly the jet because you simply "don't like it" yet is SOP is a whole different issue.

I'm not against flap 30 whatsoever. Landing at ORD on the north side and getting off asap at north port is a perfect example of a flaps 30, autobrakes 3 situation. But to blatantly use flaps 30 always on a dry 11k runway (which is not IAW with the FM or TK) is not prudent IMO.
