Holiday Inn, try to get on the second floor, the first floor (rooms) need to be remodeled,(least when I was there) also if your picked as class prez, you get a room to yourself.
It is the Holiday Inn on JFK Blvd. I had a room on the 5th floor overlooking the pool and would not have traded it for anything especially with all the CAL flight attendants they had at the hotel with us
Don't remember anything about a class president...sounds kinda cheezy to me...also haven't ever heard of anyone getting shot at. We went out at night a lot down there with out any trouble. Several people had cars and no one had a problem getting broken into or anything.
