I don't think many people realize these people were seconds away from their death. This is HUGE and is indicative of a larger problem. There's no way I'd put myself or my family on an Allegiant flight right now, and it's got nothing to do with the pilots, so don't take offense to that.
I'll tell you what, if I was in the hiring department at a major that operated MD-80's, I'd hire every Allegiant pilot that applied.
They are obviously experts at saving the day.
Keep up the good work guys. Lesser pilots would be killing 150 passengers every day.
