Flown them all but Emirates. But my point was that the future of first class travel is going to be different than what we've enjoyed in the past. 747's are going the way of the dinosaur and new 777x's and 787s generally have only business class configurations. Even for airlines like Cathey Pacific. To my knowledge, the only airline that still has the 160 pitch seats is Lufthansa. Terrible. Worse than domestic first class seats in my opinion.
I agree that agreeing to lie flat seats instead of first class is a concession, but it might have been a good card to play. "Sure, we'll give up some money on a benefit ( that is rapidly going away) ...for a gain in section X".
