I agree that GLA and RAH are both at the bottom of the barrel. But the difference is GLA will hire at 250 and RAH can't. We all know RAH is trying to change that. But as it stands, GLA really isn't even playing the same sport as RAH and the other regionals. GLA is the only 135 op that I know that will hire with 250 hours, so they're not screwing over other places by having poor contracts/QOL. Due to RAH's 121 specs, they have to hire at 1500 hours, just like every other regional out there. So people have choices. And I, for one, won't choose to go to the bottom when there are other outfits out there.

But going from 250 to 1500, GLA seems like an alright deal. In my mind, you do your 15 months, get your 1500 hours, move on to the better regionals/LCCs. Or the company goes out of business, and now you're no longer an indentured servant. So you won't have your 1500, but at least you'll be closer and/or have the hours to get hired at some other low time operation (at least the ones that require 500 hours).
