Voting no on a contract doesn't necessarily give them leverage. It's okay to vote yes for the first time on a contract proposal. The union has been working on this since January of last year. Just because you vote no doesn't automatically guarantee a better deal.
Well this isn't my first rodeo on voting for a contract, and EVERY time I have been involved with this the first offer was voted down, and the second tweaked offer passed easily.
Let me be clear, I'm not saying if I will vote one way or the other, nor am I advocating for voting either way. I've been through enough of these that I don't feel right telling someone else what to do with their economic future.
However, to say all will be doom and gloom if this is rejected is just incorrect.
