Ok, two points where I think we are looking at this the wrong way by letting the company/union frame the argument...
1. This TA is not concessionary. GREAT! Why would it be? All of the airlines are making record profits. Why would anyone take ANY concessions.
2. We are already the highest paid 50 seat outfit, what can we expect? Awesome! Why are we even discussing that? What we should be discussing is... when the company needed a concession the pilots gave concessions. The company doesn't need concessions now, our starting point should be the pre-concession rates plus 1.5% a year. Why are they fighting the restoration of the rates?
If the TA passes, my finacial benefit will be less than $750 ($1.77 x 80 hr/mo + $45/mo in per diem for 4 months). I'm sure I'll be able to make that up if we sign the contract we should be getting...
