I saw that training was $1600/month until completion of IOE, is that before or after taxes, medical, etc? Also, do you get paid per diem during training on top of that training salary?
Training pay is $1600/mo gross (before taxes, insurance, etc.). Training pay ends (and first year pay starts) at the completion of OE or 4 months from DOH, whichever comes first. The 4 month rule is actually coming into play for a bunch of us right now.
You get about $1700/mo per diem while in training. This is not taxed. You only get it while actually down in MIA though. If you sit at home between sim and OE, you do not get per diem for that time.
