Many of us were on track to get on with the Big 6 at the time and then 911 happened combined with the age 65 rule; put our career progression on hold for well over a decade. Many of us decided to stay at our current place of employment, considering our age and relative seniority.

Then the unthinkable happens; the airline completely shuts down and we have to scramble to find a job to provide for our families. The only good airline hiring is Spirit at the time so here we are.

First of all, Spirit is a really great place to work so I don't think anyone has the right to put it down as some "less than a major airline". If everyone does their part, Spirit will be one of the "BIG 3" by the time I retire. That is if we don't merge and lose the name.

Lets not sell Spirit or the employees short. Some of the finest professionals are employed with Spirit.
