Do you sit reserve in base waiting for an IOE opportunity since you can't fly normal lines? Do you sit home until something opens up resulting in 3-4 months of long call-like status? What is the real reason for the long IOE times (training dept, LCA shortages, hew hire deficiencies)? Thanks.
You sit at home waiting for your ioe. You can't be sitting reserve since you are not fully qualified... you have to log 100hrs after checkride within 120 days so you may have to go back in the box for another checkride while you wait for your turn.
