Skywest can flip and flop pay rates at they please with their pilot group. Union may seem like its a drag on things but the processes make sense per the RLA. And if you have to deal with Feds or Management you can get some sort of representation and backup. Yes i agree unions seem like they slow down the processes but i rather have a slow negotiation and get it right v. not having representation. Also who has been hired more at majors? Union pilots....look at skyw attrition v. xjt/asa attrition to the majors. Proof is in the pudding.
