Good on you that you can't see the direct affect in your micro prospective from the June meltdown, but the effects of a naive MEC's decision to relieve portions of the contract without getting the compensation in writing first, instead accepting a vague "we'll take care of you" from the company, has set us all back. Remember that the expectation of compensation for the contract relief is not an internet created outcome, but it came right from Ackerman's mouth! One which he spoke of multiple times in the aftermath...funny how quiet he is on the subject now.
It may, or may not, have been a mistake to not get a compensation agreement in writing prior to allowing the release. The truth is it's impossible for us to tell if the release is helping us with negotiations or not. You can arm chair quarterback our leadership all you want, but nothing comes of this but division and hostility. Some of you guys seem like you want the pilot group to be divided. I thought that was managements job?
Our leadership will get a chance to be judged dependent on the quality of the TA they bring us. If it is a poor TA, we should react and remove and replace. But until then, what good does the constant undermining do for us as a pilot group?
