And their practice of hiring "questionable" people is needed to support their extremely low pay and quality of life. Pilots who can't be hired anywhere else won't be so choosy about "little" things like pay and long term career potential.
Incredibly false. Most new hires I fly with are normal young guys with no failures and no sketchy backgrounds who simply bit the fast upgrade carrot that was dangled in front of them. The other handful I fly with are RAH, and XJT refugees, who were tired of looking at an 8+ year upgrade.
