In the
end, I fail to see why the line pilots have to settle for an expat package that is so marginal when the
other FedEx employees in HKG and CDG, including the Chief Pilots, get a decent expat package. Expat packages are not “perks”; they are the cost of doing business. The company agrees with this concept,
except when it is for the line pilots. See you in MEM.
I would like to have heard the arguments the other members were countering this logic with during their discussions prior to the vote.
"But Edgar, it's as good as it's gonna get!" wouldn't be a sufficient reply to it.
We are missing a lot of details about how 11 guys could agree to this substandard slap in the face to our pilots. Why did 11 out of 12 of those that are representing us think that this was so much of an improvement that EI's input was disregarded?
