And the modern labor laws were created because of the public's distaste for current labor strife. There is a large majority of Americans who believe unions are outdated and would prefer that organization be illegal. During the financial crisis of 2008, it was discovered how much unions had virtually destroyed parts of the auto and steel industry making them virtually incapable of competing with foreign companies. Don't think for one second that if the RLA goes away, with it will go the strength of unions and ability of workers to unionize.
