It has been a few years since I ordered mine, but if my memory is correct it was less than a month.
A good bit of advice when looking at going overseas is to start gathering all the paperwork as soon as you make the decision to do so because some of it takes a while. Getting the FBI record check takes about a month as well, but then many countries want it certified by the State Department and that will take another few weeks to a month to get done. Some companies are a bit easier and will accept just a report from your local police department which will be quicker than the FBI report. Also when stuff has to get notarised, many companies also want the notarisation certified which means taking it, or sending it, to the Secretary of State of the State you had it notarised in, so they can certify that the notarisation is authentic. To make it even more ridiculous, China then requires you take all the notarised, then certified, documents to their embassy/consulate to get a further certification. So yes, you read that correctly, you need a certification of a certification of a notarisation of a document. So as you can see, unless you live right next to a police department, which has a notary next door, and that notary is next to an office of the Secretary of State, which is next to a Chinese Consulate, there will be a lot of driving or mailing of documents going on. Best to get started early.
