Seems they focus a lot on recency of training vs. how much time or how many or what kind of type ratings one has. I had 3 types 10,000+TT and 6,000+Jet PIC, during the exit interview they asked me when was the last time I had initial training on a new aircraft. It had been a while, they weren't excited about my answer (typed 8 years ago on a CRJ). I elaborated and told them about my difference training from CRJ-200 to the 900 2 years ago and that made them feel better. Seemed to be the only question that really made me question if I was doing well during the interview or not.
I've also heard some of the recruiters suggest to regional F.O.'s if they want to get ahead of the pack to try the gateway program through Cape Air (guaranteed interview). Its a huge move from flying an RJ to go fly a 421 but if jetBlue is your #1, it's not a bad idea.
