Higney, What are you bidding in base? I think you are giving a lot of people a false impression, but hey you may get 500 bucks out of the deal. Just seems short sighted to me. When you do turn 23 and you are an RJ captain, your going to have to be flying with inexperienced pilots because your company cannot compete with work rules and $$ to get pilots, they have to resort to lowering the hiring standards to get "qualified" people.
I am not sure what "false impression" I may be giving. I do not get any money out of this company beyond what I get paid for flying the plane. There is a referral bonus in place but I don't have anyone up for a bonus... I will be flying with inexperienced guys when I eventually end up in the left seat but at this point in the regional world PNCL will not be the only airline with low time FO's. I am MEM based but the bidding is turning into an interesting ordeal b/c we are going to prefbid instead of bidding lines starting in the august bid (open now). I like 2 day trips and short layovers (I enjoy being efficient). Some guys are commuters or bid schedules just to hold weekends off. I have been getting pretty much what I want for the last couple months- For the july bid I was in the top half of FO's with a bunch that were coming up the OE and NHT pipeline, for august- not sure b/c I am not sure where the bid seniority is even posted with this new prefbid we are doing (I am trying to find out though, just haven't found the number yet). I will be the first to admit that there are times where I curse the company and realize that this (issue/problem) is because mgmt won't sign a "industry average" contract. I can't stand liars myself and will not lie on a public board, but do understand that sometimes things are misunderstood. If there is something that I have posted that you feel has a "grey area" I will gladly explain the situation or statement.

There is a high probrability of some b*tching by the 9E pilot group in a couple days when we see what prefbid churns out.... I have not been doing quite as well with prefbid (practice runs) but even the #1 seniority guy in the company can't get what he wants so there are some big issues with this... august will be interesting to say the least!

Let me know if there are any questions...
