A lot has changed in the school house. Yes there was a high washout rate a while back. That is not to say some still don't washout but that is mainly because 1. Think they knew it all. 2. Didn't know enough and didn't study 3. Combination of 1 & 2 with added "That's not how we did it at brand X".
They don't want you to fail but they are not going to spoon feed you and hold your hand through the process. It is AQP based. But for what it's worth the training is some of the best and you will have to learn more than you will probably ever use.
So no one is out to see if they can get you to fail? I guess thats good. What about the interview sim? I heard that its in a -200 with no F/D. Thats not a big deal but what about for someone who's never flown the plane before? Why doesn't Atlas make applicants do this? Do they at least give you time to see how the sim handles before they throw the coals at you?
Also, does Southern throw you in a sim? What about WGA and their interview?
