A note about Bryson's. Many years ago, a friend brought a young man named George Lucas into the establishment. Understand that in those days, Bryson's was the freight dog hangout and it wasn't unusual at all for an operator to pop in the door and say, "I need two guys to fly a DC-8 to Peru and back. Any takers?" A couple of old grizzled characters in the shadows would say, "Aw, what the hell. Sure". This became the inspiration for Director Lucas' scene in the first Star Wars movie of the Cantina on Tatooine. Fitting, wouldn't you say?
