The best bidding strategy for someone on reserve makes sense to me. Group all of your days off together to maximize green slip possibilities. Does the same hold true for an FO holding a line, or would a line holder focus on something other than grouping together off days to maximize pay? Maybe bid for LCA trips followed by highest ADC in order to get more total days off even if they aren't grouped together?
If you are a line holder FO and want to try and green slip, the best thing to do is bid with LCAs and get bought off the trip. This only holds true when there is a lot of training going on...........like now! After that, I would bid trips that have a lot of credit in them. You don't want to run into 100 in 28 problems. This is especially true in international categories. While doing the above, try and avoid trips during the first week of the month. Seems to me that after initial awards there are always more trips left over in the beginning of the month. I'd probably try and group all my trips in the second half of the month.

The above is based you not needing any particular days off. When you do, it can be hard to GS. Good Luck!
