Nothing constructive to read here.

You don't get it.
What is being discussed right now at Envoy is allowing pilots to bring with them their current pay step instead of starting over at Year One pay.
So if a pilot is on pay step 4 at Republic and they get hired at Envoy today, they would be at Envoy's pay step 4 instead of having to start at step 1.
Professionals in any other industry in the world are able to take their experience and pay to new companies. Why should pilots be any different? This is (finally) a GREAT thing for our profession and long over due. Keep in mind this would be for PAY only. A newhire would still be "year one" when it comes to bidding, but they would bring with them their current pay.
There is no problem here except for the one that exists in eagelfly's twisted mind. And in any case, this isn't official yet. Still a few details to iron out....but if/when this is rolled out at Envoy you can be sure it will be a watershed moment for the airline industry.
