Is the junior upgrade really dec 2014 hire? that's like a 8-9 month upgrade. Is the attrition that high, with only 600 pilots flying, that would be about 200 attrition a year. I'm thinking of applying and trying to get a quick upgrade. XJT has no upgrade in sight.
Also, whats the QOL like there. I read a while ago that its not that good, but that was over a year ago. Is it still all day lines out of the bases? I went back about 20 pages and there was nothing about this. thanks guys. I don't know anyone there to ask

The junior Captains are a product of that being a junior pilot at Allegiant air is not fun to say the least. Reserve your schedule can be changed at will even days off. You can be sent company wide to cover flying maybe even for the entire month. TDY on the bottom end is crazy and can happen any month for month on month (think current record is one pilot was on TDY for 18 Months straight) . This fact has had pilots elect to return to the Right seat due to the poor quality of life. The most junior Captains are in what is called the VDB base on MD80 you are permanent TDY and your base changes month to month and your schedule is very dependent on where they send you. The other junior Captains are all in the east due to more growth. One the west Captain upgrade is more like 5+ some bases like BLI people have to wait for people to retire.
