I hate to break the news to you, but WE HAVE A CONTRACT! Geez, the RLA isn't that hard to understand.
Why do I bother pointing this out? To try and get in front of the claim that we have to strike to avoid Contract 9000.
We HAVE a contract. It continues to be legally binding until it is either amended or either side obtains relief.
In 2010, a large number of our voters who struck and then voted yes, did so because they didnt understand that the CBA remains in effect past its amendable date.
