A lot also depends on who you talk to in scheduling. Most of them will work with you. If you call them saying "hey, I'm in the parking lot, I know it's almost the 2 hr mark but I'm here" they'll be fine with that. You don't necessarily have to duty in on a computer. Call them, they're fine with that.

being at most 1:45 from SFO? You've got that on short call, no problem. There may be an exception with a major accident or g-d forbid it rains. Just keep an ye on traffic during your reserve period.

That being said, I was SFO based only for 3 months but never had less than 3 hours notice for any trip I was assigned. Now in JFK, most of my assignments I get the evening or day prior. Only one time I got a 3 hr call-out but they canceled it 5 minutes later.
