Look at it from the school's perspective. They are losing tons of money due to pilots realizing that they need useful degrees in case this profession doesn't work out for them. Why spend an extra 100k on an AABI when you could go get a business or engineering degree and go to ATP or other fast track program? The pilot factory colleges need some gimmick to stay afloat.
