I believe that they (AAG) wish to accelerate the Envoy "824" flow-thru pilots onto AA property at a rate to ensure they are all aboard by a target date sometime later next year (450 or so left ?). I don't think it was coincidence they also got all former Letter 3 (the previous flows) onboard at AA a week prior to merger snap-shot date either. I believe that once all 824's are at AA, then they will make a move regarding all wholly-owned regionals to a standard contract with uniform flow and possible consolidation and that is the point of a target date. Around that same time will be implementation of the arbitrated ISL at AA, beginning use of PBS, actual elimination of some "I" statuses to begin that consolidation and of course uniforms.
In the interim, it may be a slow go for OTS hires as another wild card that might impede that is the unknown number of LAA Letter T pilots that will return and once that is known, to what degree the New AA may "right size" it self pilot staffing wise as these and other synergies begin to take effect.
2016 could be a very slow year (or possibly a non-existent one) for OTS new-hires at AA.
